Inspired by the palaces

Vizcaya was created as James Deering’s subtropical winter home in the 1910s and today it is a National Historic Landmark and accredited museum. The incredible villa is inspired by the palaces in Europe and the grand look of the interior is just stunning! We visited Vizcaya before we went to Mexico and I just need to share some pictures with you. If you are going to Miami you should definetly see this beauty even if you just have a few hours. There is several gardens, one of them which is secret, a stone barge, a tea house and the beautiful main building itself. I wish we had better time because there is so much to see there. I fell in love with so much of the interior and got inspired for our future house as well (again).

You can read more about the museum here so you can make sure to get it into your plans.
